Bread in a bottle

Did you know that more than 12% of total food waste is bread? Fresh bread to be precise. That’s how the Brussels Beer Project came to the idea to give wasted bread a second life, and use it in their beer called the Babylon. The concept isn’t new. The babylonic people already did it 7000 years ago. They used fermented bread to make a delicious beverage.

The Brussels Beer Project is  a collaborative project using co-creation to become more innovative and daring, and to bring fresh air into a sometimes too conservative Belgian craft brewing scene. You can find the beers in more than 150 bars/restaurants/stores in Brussels, and in 20 countries in Europe and even further. You can also buy it in your local Delhaize.

Give bread a second chance, drink beer :)
